i had this great idea to make little tilly a special coat for her first birthday. i am an amateur sewer, but i didn’t think a coat could be that difficult. was i wrong.
good thing for my mom, the expert seamstress, because without her, this would have remained beautiful blue wool all folded up in my fabric bin.
my mom loves little details, and this cute greet velvet ribbon tie back was perfect.
we used a sweet floral for the lining.
it turned out so beautifully {thanks to my dear mother} and i can’t wait for tilly to wear it!
wear it she has [a few times already], and received MANY compliments! it's beautiful em. thanks for blessing us with your creation. i'm sure it will be used by your little girl and then many baby dolls after that. [or am i the only one that dressed my cabbage patch kids in my old baby clothes?] love ya.
